Therapy

Hair mesotherapy

In mesotherapy a blend of vitamins, amino acids and minerals is placed under the scalp in a fine grid. The nutrients arrive where the root uses them – instead of going through the stomach.

Mesotherapy: fine injections into the scalp

What happens

Our head surgeon places a micro-injection into the top layer of skin roughly every one to two centimetres. The blend depends on your findings; typical are biotin, zinc, B vitamins, amino acids and hyaluronic acid. A session takes about 30 minutes and fits easily into a lunch break during an Istanbul stay.

Where mesotherapy makes sense

Mesotherapy is a supporting treatment. It suits hair that is becoming thinner and duller, seasonal or stress-related shedding, and works well alongside PRP. It does not cure hereditary hair loss – we tell you that as clearly as it is. Four to six sessions two to four weeks apart are usual.

Questions about this treatment

What is the difference between mesotherapy and PRP?

PRP uses plasma from your own blood; mesotherapy uses a compounded blend of nutrients. Both are placed into the scalp and combine well.

Does mesotherapy help against balding?

Not against advanced balding. It can strengthen existing hair but cannot replace follicles that are no longer active.

Are there side effects?

Small red spots or wheals at the injection points are normal and usually disappear within a day.
