Patchy beards can be filled, an undefined cheek line can be shaped. The grafts usually come from the back of the head and are placed flat, following the growth direction of beard hair.
Some patients come for the beard only; many treat beard and hairline in one trip. Whether both fit into one session depends on how many grafts your donor area can give. When grafts are limited, scalp hair comes first – we discuss this openly.
Angles matter even more on the face than on the scalp. Beard hair grows very flat and in different directions depending on the zone: down on the cheeks, forward on the chin, partly upward on the neck. Our head surgeon places each graft accordingly, usually with the DHI implanter.
Healing on the face
The face has excellent blood supply and heals quickly. Small scabs come off after about a week, and shaving is allowed again after around ten days. As on the scalp, transplanted beard hair sheds first and grows back permanently from month three.
Your stay
Day 1
Arrival
Airport pick-up and drive to the hotel. In the evening your coordinator calls to go through the next day.
Day 2
Analysis and procedure
First comes a trichoscopy to analyse your hair and scalp, plus a blood test and an ECG. Then your individual hairline is drawn.
This is followed by the extraction and implantation of the hair follicles. The procedure is carried out under sedation (“Sleep Deep”). Afterwards you receive a PRP treatment.
Day 3
Check-up, first hair wash and departure
The head surgeon personally checks your donor and recipient areas and carries out the first hair wash himself. This is also included in the package.
You then have your final consultation and receive all the medication and care products you need, with a detailed explanation of how to use them and of your aftercare.
From the afternoon, after the final check-up, you can travel home.

Questions about this treatment
Does a transplanted beard look natural?
Yes, when angle and direction are right. Beard hair is set very flat and follows the natural growth direction of each zone of the face.
Can I do beard and scalp at the same time?
Often yes, as long as your donor area gives enough grafts for both. We check this from your photos and tell you honestly what should take priority.
When can I shave again?
After about ten days, once the scabs are gone. Wet shaving with a blade only after checking with the doctor.
