Aftercare once you are back home
After you return we follow up via photos and video calls – after one, three, six and twelve months, and any time in between if you have a question. For in-person appointments your local GP or dermatologist is a good point of contact; we give you a medical letter in German.

Frequently asked questions
Does German health insurance pay for a hair transplant?
Usually not, neither statutory nor private insurance, as the procedure is considered cosmetic. Rare exceptions exist for hair loss after an accident or illness.
How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?
For a hair transplant we plan two nights: arrival, procedure, check-up with first wash, flight home. PRP or mesotherapy often fits into a long weekend.
Can I fly straight after the procedure?
Yes, from the day after the check-up. We give you a neck pillow for the flight and tips on protecting the grafts in the cabin.
When can I go back to work in Germany?
For office jobs usually after seven to ten days, often sooner with Long DHI. Heavy physical work and sport only after two to four weeks.
